Well I started my drive out to CA yesterday and I have made it to Nebraska. Nothing to eventful happened along my drive just tried to keep from getting to bored but I did learn a couple of things while driving through Iowa.....
1. There are way to many bugs out this time of year. I had to make a special stop to wash my windshield so that I could see where I was going.
2. The farms in Iowa smell very bad. I think I needed a nose plug
3. The rest stops in Iowa have wireless internet access.....at least thats what all the rest stop signs said.
well now it is time for me to get on the road again.

Adventures of the eggheads

Well this weekend myself and randi took a little trip over to Michigan for Laura and Georgia's shower. It was great to see everyone and we had tons of adventures. To many to even talk about. Laura doesn't know it yet but as you can see by the picture of Georgia, Randi and I converted Georgia in
to an egghead so she could be just like us. It was defintely a long drive especially in the pouring rain but it was well worth it. A couple of things that I learned this weekend are:
1. Always travel with someone who has triple AAA so that when the car runs out of gas or your car falls of the edge of a driveway, they can save you
2. When you gotta go, you gotta go......but always look closer at the center console there may be something there that could be useful to you.
3. Georgia has grown a ton since the last time I saw her and by the time I see her again she will be huge and able to do all sorts of fun stuff.
4. I am super glad that I made the trip and got so see so many of my good friends, eventhough by going to MI it means that I am going to drive through 11 states in less than a week.

Where I've been in the US
create your own visited states map.
I saw this on Heather S's blog and thought it would be neat to post. I think that I need to visit the southeast a little more. Maybe if I am lucky I will get to go to Alaska and fight some fires this summer

Oh How I want to Kayak
Today I went up to my grandparents to get my Kayak out of storage so that I can take it out west with me. It was nice and sunny out today so it really made me want to take it out for a spin on a lake. Its to bad that most of the lakes around here still have ice on them or are way to cold to kayak on without a wet suit. Plus I haven't used it in over a year since I didn't take it with me last season, so I really want to get out and use it. Oh well hopefully when I get up to the CA mountians it will have stopped snowing and i can use it before the crew goes available.
Since I couldn't go kayaking I decided to post a couple of pictures from my trip to South America. The pictures are from Machu Pichau in Peru. I would post more from S. America cuz I took a bunch of awesome pictures but I lost them when my camera was stolen. yes I know that it is a sad thing.
well back to wishing it was summer and the trees had leaves on them!!!!

Land of dinosaurs

My nephew is very into dinosaurs right now, so while he was here over the weekend I took some pictures of him playing in what he calls his dinosaur nest aka "the pit". We went to his spring program on Thursday and got to hear him and the other preschoolers sing a song about sheep. I also attempted to make Jello Jiggler eggs with him ad let me tell you that was an adventure. I don't think the molds that I used had been used in quite some time and well lets just say they were a little warped and leaked a small amount. But we still had fun and thats all that matters
