White Winter

This morning I got up and noticed that all the trees where covered with beautiful ice crystals so I decided to head outside and take a few pictures.

I really wish that we had a little more snow so I could go out and go cross-country skiing or snowshoeing. Most winters I spend alot of time outside doing that, but this winter I haven't been able to due to the lake of snow. yes we have had winter like temps and there is snow on the ground, but there isn't much snow and I know that underneath the trees there isn't much so that means the ski trails wont be very good. Anyway I am hoping for a big snowstorm one of these days so I can get out and enjoy my winter more

This is something my sister said reminded her of me but I think that it is what most of us would say to each other

my oopps

Yesterday I installed a new light fixture in my parents dinning room. All was going well. I took the old fixture out. Ran into the problem of when whoever last painted their popcorn ceilings on was lazy and just sprayed paint up into the ceiling box so i had to get rid of all that. Then I wasnt sure of how far down my parents wanted it to hang so I hung where i thought it should be but left some extra wire in case we needed to change it. So that was fun trying to fit all of this extra wire up into the little ceiling box. then I got it all together have my brother turn the power on and Tada it worked. I was so glad to see it work. Then I was putting the globes on the three lights and well as I was putting the last one on, it wasn't quite going on right and i was trying to fix it and I lost my balance and ended up dropping the globe on the table. I was like s$#t, F$%^K and any other word you would think of that I could. While all at the same time I was trying to not hit my head on the desk. It didn't help matters that my parents have chairs with wheels on them so when I went to grab one of them it moved. So I look at the globe and it seems to be in all one piece, then I look closer and it has a big crack in it. but of course they bought the light somewhere other than hibbing so I can't find a replacement. But the cracked globe is still usable. Oh well at least I didn't crack my head open.

What I've been up to.

Well not to much new to report. My neighbor is a carpenter and he built an archway and doors to close of an area of our church. He has been working on it for quite a while and is an excellent carpenter. Since he knows that I have am home he calls and asks me for help when he needs it. Anyway it came time to install it last week and here are some photos from that adventure. I was worried that I would drop the archway or do something to scuff it up but thank goodness I didn't. The big piece was super heavy and took some time to get it up. The doors weren't nearly as heavy, but because they have so much glass in them I was worried about what might happen to them if I accidently did anything wrong. The only problem that we had was that the one door was a little to big and we couldn't get the hinges to work quite right so we had to take it down and Herb cut a little off the top. all that I can say is that he is a very talented person. (he made the cabinets that are in my parents kitchen)

In other news I have been shopping around for a house. I have seen a few. Some that I like and some that I do not like. I am hopping to go look and a couple more this week. I am hoping that I find something that I like. Nothing against my parents I just need to get out and have my own space.

I have once again set my mom to work on a sewing project for me. she says one of these days i need to learn how to do it myself, but I have no motivation because she is always there to help me out and do the things that I ask of her.

My sister has taken a new job in Tacoma Washington so I will probably be making trip out there to go and visit her sometime before I go back to work.

Answers to my test

Well since I cant log in to view my test questions I will try to remember all of the questions to give you the answers

* I never participated in Volleyball during high shcool. I earned varsity letters in Track, Swimming, Cross-counrty and Basketball
* I drive a blue subaru forester (my car in college was silver)
* I own 17 blue t-shirts (and almost all of them say arrowhead hotshots on them)
* I did 46 sit-ups in a minute during our physical fitness testing at work. you are supposed to do more than 40.
*My favorite place to be outside is the Boundary Waters Canoe area (although I havent been there much lately. The other locations are all places I enjoy but I have loved the Boundary Waters since I was young whippersnapper
* I have never fought a fire in Idaho. The only two western states that I have not been on a fire in are montana and Idaho ( well and alaska if you count it) I did fight a fire where i could see idaho so I was close
*I have two tattoos a butterfly and sunflower

Ok I know that there was one more question but I can't remember for the life of me what it was and neither can my sister. But if I think of it I will post it on here. Or maybe one of you can remember for me.

Time on my hands

Well I had sometime on my hands today so I decided to search for a new blog template and well let me tell you is was no easy task. I found some that I really liked and then I couldn't get them to work. I tried forever to get one of them work. Well then I discovered that you have to revert to classic to get most of them to work. Ok that was easy enough....well at this same time my sister is asking me how to change her new blog template so I am trying to tell her what I know while in the meantime confusing myself. To make a long story short and it is long I came to the conclusion that some templates out there are super easy to use and some are not so easy. So if you decide to change I hope you have more computer knowledge than me or that you find one of those easy sites that are out there. Cuz if you dont you could end up wasting numerous hours of your time just like me.

New Hobbies

My new Hobbies include:

1. teaching myself how to knit (which is going quite well)
2. rifle shooting (my neighbor is a competitive shooter, like the stuff you see on the olympics and is teaching me all the ins and outs of competitive shooting)
3. Looking for a house. (anyone got any advice for me on this one)
