Done with work for the weeks

Since my boss was feeling nice he let us all take to day off if we wanted to and like I was going to say no!!! So all the guys I work with took of for the weekend since most of them live somewhat close by. So I was getting kind of bored up in my little cabin so I decided to go visit my sister this weekend. So LA here I come (eventhough I am not a huge fan of the traffic). So who knows what will be in store for the weekend. I am excited because it is supposed to be super nice here this weekend so some of the snow may finnally melt away.

Well I think that is all for now, but I am sure that I will have more to post after this weekend.

Crazy F****ing Birds

SO the snow banks on the side of the roof on the main office are at the level of the windows and we have these crazy ravens that hop on the snowbank and start tearing the screens of the windows. It is super loud and scares the crap out of me when I am in the kitchen and they start making the loud Bang Bang on the window. I think that sometimes they also try to eat the roof so that is even louder. I have heard stories about how a few years ago they ate a bunch of the insulation stuff and weather striping off on ouf the guys subaru's so I am just hoping that they don't revert to that.

Not much else new here it was a rainy day here. I hope that when I go in to get breakfast tommorow that I don't see a raven looking in the window at me. It seriously creeps me out!!!

Im alive....but barely

I am alive and here in CA. I started work on monday and let me tell you they still have a lot of snow here if you want to see how much click on the arrowhead link. It is crazy..... So my excting news is that the past 2 years the internet has been far away from where we live and hard to get to, but I have now discovered that there is wireless internet up at the parks visitor center. so instead of driving 1 hour to use the internet I only have to drive about 3 miles.....but I am currently sittin in my car.

In other news this weekend was Arrowheads 25 year reunion and well lets just say it was a good time. Hotshots always know how to party. My sister came up for it so her and I got to hang out and she heard a lot of stories. We also were hit on by old men, had to call the park rangers to take someone to the hospital after they had been in the snow bank for about an hour, and meet a bunch of really cool people.

Well I am getting a little chilly here in my car so I know that I am aware of the internet here I should be able to keep this a little more updated.

I am in the process of trying to get my butt back in my car and finish my drive. I only have 8 hours left to go. Yippeee!!!

Everything worked out with my hotel room last night! So that made me happy. It is wierd they have wireless internet in the casino but not in the hote rooms.

So yesterday I drove through Colrado and Southern Utah. S. Utah has all sort of cool rock formations and while on a section of I-70 that doesn't have any exits with services for 106 miles I stopped and took this picture of the rocks.

Well it is back to the real world for me. I have to be at work at 8:00 am tommorow. Lets hope that my cabin is open tonight and I don't have to sleep in my car.

I am off into the world of no internet so until the next time I am where there is a computer stay tuned!!!!

In cases you are wondering where I am

Well....... I am currently in Mesquite Nevada. It is about 50 min outside of vegas. I was going to stay in vegas but then I was thinking about the fact that I have a really big kayak on my car and that it doesn't fit into parking ramps and well it draws attention to my car and I don't really want a bunch of drunks trying to break into my car. Plus I have discovered that it is the Sat before easter and well hotel rooms are high priced tonight. So after looking at two casino's in this little town (both of which I know charge $25 on a week night) whose rates were 110 for tonight I got this brilliant idea. So I drove over to the Best Western whipped out my computer in the front seat of my car in their parking lot and used their wireless internet to find a cheap room online. Well you think Wow amy you are smart.........well not so. I went to the hotel that I made the reservation at and they didn't have my reservation in their computer yet. So now I am sitting in the starbucks at the casino waiting for a little while to see if my reservation comes through.... hmmm can you tell that I have spent 12 hours in the car today.....mabe later if I have a place to sleep I will put up some pictures I took today
